Dear //FirstName//,
Amani means Peace in Swahili
|
I want to tell you about a 7-year old boy, Dismass. He used to live on streets in Moshi, Tanzania. He now lives at the Amani Center for Street Children, a non-profit organization that is really important to me and my family. I know you will be impressed by his story and this amazing organization.
I first became involved with Amani in 2005 following a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. This organization cares for hundreds of children who are rescued from living on the streets. Since 2001, it has provided them with a safe place to live, nutritious food, education, and, when possible, reunification with their families. www.amanikids.org
Porter Family Vineyards will be co-hosting a reception with the Amani Director and the Friends of Amani – US board on Thursday, February 13th at MindTheBridge, 450 Townsend Streeet in San Francisco. I hope you will join me for fine wine, food and conversation about this amazing organization.
