Think pink this summer!

We are excited to release the newest addition to our wine portfolio, Sandpiper Rosé. This delicious summer wine is sure to be a hit at any beach party, picnic, or barbeque. Luscious tropical aromas of passionfruit, strawberry, and pineapple are followed by tongue-tingling flavors of strawberries, wild raspberries, red currents, and pomegranate. Ah, summer!

Upcoming Events

April 18th, 2009 – Dinner and wine at The Butcher’s Block, Sarasota, FL

Join Tom and Bev at Sarasota’s premier wine and beef supplier, the Butcher Block, for an evening of wine and food. A seven-course sit-down dinner in the shop catered by Divino Restaurant will be preceded by tastings of Porter Family Vineyards wines. In addition, the Butcher’s Block proprietors Stan McGowan and his son Scott invite you to choose any wine from the store to accompany your meal, at retail cost and with no corkage fee. Reservations necessary; prix fixe menu (not including dinner wine) $125 per person.

April 22nd, 2009 – Earth Day

Just a reminder to “Think Globally – Act Locally.” Take this day to:

  • Participate in an Earth Day clean-up in your town.
  • Build that back-yard composter you’ve been planning.
  • Plant your garden or find a community-supported agriculture group that sells produce.
  • Repurpose something you were going to throw away.
  • Plan and organize a carpool schedule.
  • Make that resolution to start recycling.

 May 4th, 2009 – Wine Dinner at the Canvas Café, Sarasota, FL

Join Tom and Bev for their last hurrah in Florida for the season at the Canvas Café in Sarasota, Florida, for Porter Family Vineyards wines paired with the outstanding cuisine of Chef Steve Phelps. Chef Steve has been called “inventive” and “balanced” by Sarasota Magazine, showcasing local, organically grown produce and locally caught or farmed seafood in his seasonal American cuisine. Reservations necessary; prix fixe menu including wine, tax, and gratuity: $125 per person.

June 5th, 2009 – Auction Napa Valley, Napa, CA

Our first year participating in this world-class charity auction, Porter Family Vineyards is offering a two-night stay for four in their luxurious guest suites at the vineyard, a private tour and barrel tasting, smoked prime rib dinner with the family, six bottles each of the 2009 releases, and a collector’s etched magnum of each of the 2005 and 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon vintages to a lucky bidder. This lot is available on the online “e-auction”, and does not require attendance to the auction for bidding. Proceeds from the event support healthcare, family and youth development, and housing programs in Napa Valley.
